What is Golden Temple Meditation?

  • ‘Golden Temple Meditation’ is the creation of Jodha Singh and Adi Shakti to provide the community of Sydney with a large variety of meditations to practice. Most are from India, Tibet, Nepal, Persia and Japan.
  • Classes are by donation only.
  • There is a meditation right for most purposes in life whether one is looking to (a) introduce peace & calmness, (b) better health & clarity of mind, (c) new habits or new direction, (d) abundance, (e) positive relationship changes, (f) creativity or (g) a spiritual connection into their life.
  • Each ‘Golden Temple Meditation’ class will comprise of three different types of meditation;- one classical silent meditation, one meditation with a specific goal or purpose, and one deep relaxation meditation or a walking meditation.
  • Meditations offered at Golden Temple Meditation are suitable for first time meditators as well as for people with a regular practice. You will learn a basic spinal health and care programme to assist your practice. You will be guided to the most appropriate props for your posture.
  • Golden Temple Meditation also caters for wheel chair bound people.
  • You can meditate sitting on the floor, a cushion or chair, walking, swimming, lying in deep relaxation, or washing up. Jodha will teach on all of these methods.
  • On occasion guest teachers will be invited to add cultural and traditional experiences for meditation at Golden Temple Meditation classes.
  • Half day workshops and 3 day silent retreats are regular events on the annual calendar.
  • Golden Temple Meditation are sure that life will be transformative for the betterment of yourself, your family and for all those you make contact with in this hectic world.

  • Monthly Sadhanas are held before sunrise at the beach and a mix of Indian prayer, a little light yoga and chanting make way for a beautiful experience and the Golden Temple Meditation is blessed as the rays of sun flow across the surf and sand to us. Genuine Indian Chai is then served for all to enjoy.
